Just over a year ago, I was incredibly lucky to rent a little backyard space from a beautiful friend who was only using the space for storage. Since then, this little studio has become home to so many precious first moments, capturing families as they begin their journey together during those beautiful newborn weeks.

This space wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible people around me. From friends who helped paint the walls, to family and loved ones who built furniture, organised the space, and helped bring my vision to life. I’m so grateful. Every little detail has been created with love, and it has truly become my happy place and something I am always working on little improvements.

One of my favourite things to hear is when clients walk through the door and say, “Wow, your studio is so lovely.” It fills my heart knowing that this warm, cozy little space is where so many of your most treasured memories will be captured and looked back on for years to come.

To every family who has trusted me with these precious moments.. Thank you. It is a privilege I never take for granted. And to all the beautiful families I’ll meet in the future, I can’t wait to welcome you into my little studio and create something special together. 🤍

The tiny movements, the soft sounds, the way your baby stretches, yawns, and nestles into your arms. These are the memories that often pass in a blur, but deserve to be remembered forever.

Adding a short cinematic reel to your session means you don’t just get images… you get the emotion, the atmosphere, and the story of this beautiful season of life.

This little honey pot was such a sweetheart 🧸✨
Although she wasn’t too keen on settling into those cute curled-up sleepy poses on the day and that’s completely okay. Babies are beautifully unpredictable, and sometimes even with all the soothing tricks, they simply don’t feel like sleeping during their session. This doesn’t mean it’s a failed session, baby just didn’t want to miss out.

When that happens, we simply lean into a more natural, candid style of capturing your memories — because every stage, expression, and little moment deserves to be documented just as beautifully 🤍

A few little tips to help your session run as smoothly as possible:

• Try not to stress — babies can often pick up on our energy
• Arrive on time where possible so you’re not feeling rushed or overwhelmed
• Be as photo-ready as you can before arriving to maximise session time
• Make sure baby has a nice full tummy and is warm and comfortable
• We’ll likely still do little top-up feeds throughout the session, but this helps us stay one step ahead
• Dress baby in easy-to-remove clothing to make transitions nice and gentle

At the end of the day, every baby is different, and that’s the beauty of newborn photography 🤍
