The Goshawk - such a stealthy bird who flies on silent wings - not an easy one to get close too, so I was very happy to get this shot before he gave me a dirty look for disturbing him and took off 😆

Honeyeaters are definitely omnivores, I've seen them grab insects many times and I had to have a little chuckle watching this Eastern Spinebill hover to catch a spider and then become tangled in the extensive web - his expression looks a bit like all of us when we end up with a spider web across our face 😄

Shooting at higher ISO is pretty necessary for us bird photographers, in my latest blog I share my tips for getting an optimal quality shot and avoiding 'PBS' - Plastic Bird Syndrome 😆 Featuring Golden Boy, who was photographed in dimly lit forest at ISO 3200

Whether you're photographing birds in a dark rainforest, working in the soft light before sunrise or capturing a nocturnal species at dusk, although not optimal for image quality, sometimes a high ISO is simply unavoidable.
