Here are some fun Christmas facts involving the number 13:
1. The 13 Yule Lads: In Icelandic Christmas folklore, there are 13 mischievous Yule Lads. These playful characters visit children one by one on the 13 nights leading up to Christmas, leaving gifts in their shoes if they’ve been good—or potatoes if they’ve been naughty!
2. 13 Days of Christmas in Greece: In Greece, the Christmas season lasts 13 days, from Christmas Day (December 25th) to Epiphany (January 6th). During this time, people celebrate with carols, feasts, and blessings of water.
3. 13 Desserts of Provence: In Provence, France, it’s a tradition to serve 13 desserts at Christmas to represent Jesus and his 12 apostles. These sweet treats include fruits, nuts, nougat, and other delights!
4. There are only 13 spots left for our Santa Photos in Upper Beaconsfield this weekend. You will miss out if you don’t hurry up and book now.
We have, once again, raised THOUSANDS of dollars for vital cancer research. Thank you to everyone who has booked to have their Santa photos with us this Christmas. You’re the best.
