The most beautiful, intimate elopement with just the two of them and their 4 babies 🥹 The amount of love and emotion that was wrapped around this day was honestly hard to put into words. There were happy tears, tight cuddles, laughter and little hands holding umbrellas, helping with the rings and reaching for mum and dad. No elaborate plans, no big crowd. I was also beyond honoured to be one of their witnesses!

After a short and sweet ceremony at Flat Rock, followed by some portraits, the Wades headed to the O’Connell Pub for lunch to celebrate together and call their family and friends to tell them the news! It was perfect.

A wedding doesn’t have to be big to be incredibly meaningful 🤎

On my screen today was this beautiful newborn session. Little bub was a fresh 7 days old 🥹

I really wish I’d captured some behind the scenes from this particular morning. Mr 2 was an energetic ball of fun who didn’t stay still the entire time- which I loved 😂 I did reassure mum and dad that this was normal at almost every session- toddlers racing around, jumping off the lounge, somersaulting along the floor, playing with whatever they can find. And I found that giving them that reassurance, that sessions can be chaotic, It made them feel more comfortable about the experience, and hopefully I showed them throughout their photoshoot that I will always get down to their level, play, give kids “jobs” like look for daddy’s boogers or ask if bubba smells like chocolate 😂 and not tell them to sit still and look at me.

Next time I’ll definitely remember to capture the chaos of a session, and prove that you’ll still get a gallery of stunning images regardless! This particular photo, little guy laid there from approximately 1.3 seconds before he was off again 😂🤎

Is this something that you maybe dread when thinking of booking your family photos? That your kiddos won’t “behave” or sit still long enough to capture a photo? I promise you… that’s the best part. The more chaotic the better 😂

We don’t want kids to sit still. We want them to be themselves because that’s when their little personalities shine and that’s where the magic really happens!
