The whales were ON this afternoon out of Eden. When the wind picked up, we were treated to a sequence of very active whales- breaching and throwing themselves around. Sadly, we also came across a likely recently deceased juvenile humpback. Some possible orca marks were observed. A real mix of joy and sorrow on the ocean today. Thanks as always to for taking us out and keeping us safe on the noisy seas.

We interrupt kinder editing for my annual whale spam! Two trips yesterday onboard was as incredible as always. While the first cruise was quieter, the second delighted us with the whales spurred on by winds in communication with each other. Thanks Simon and the crew!

After recovering from a shoulder injury, it was wonderful to be back photographing some friends at Blackburn Preschool today! I met many of them last year when they were in 3 year old group and they have grown... as they do. ;) It always makes me smile when I see kids crafting at kinder, and this clever clogs certainly met the theme of the day when I looked up to see her taking a photo of me on her very fancy camera.
