"Early Wet"

I’ve got a little spot about 40 km out of town, south of Newman, with the best little hills. I love popping out there when there’s a good sunset, and especially for the Milky Way 🌌✨

Well… when there isn’t a bloody truck in the bay and I can’t wake the poor buggers up! 😂

Tonight’s sunset was pretty flat, but Weldon and Sarah, across the road on their station, looks like they were getting a bloody good drenching! 😍😘☺️

Sometimes you don’t need a great sunset when you can sit back and watch the rain roll across the Pilbara. ❤️

Everyone's eyes were on Europe last night as the solar eclipse turned day to night.

Caught up with old mate Milky Way on his way down west, and waited for the Perseids to put on a show totally on tue other direction. The timelapse? Let's not talk about the timelapse. But this single frame made the late night worth it.

"Back On Country"

Long drive home straight after my post-op appointment and got in around 10pm last night. Good news but — all looking great, just have to stay off it for a few more months yet.

Made it all worthwhile putting up the drone on that winding stretch between Dalwallinu and New Norcia. Nothing like those late canola fields and angry skys to get the blood pumping

Good news - surgeon says it all went well!
It's all in my hands now. Taking two weeks of forced beach views to rest up, then heading back to Country for the real healing before I can get back out bush and back to work.
