We were excited to receive an email with this in it today.
It was for the trailer for the documentary Shane made called . It made the quarter-finals and then won the Audience Award. If you are interested and have yet to see it, you can watch it on the Skills for Trades website. The full documentary is available to watch there as well.

This was the shot I got just before the hail hit. It went nuts online with a reach of over 850k and more impressions. Our car and Vanessa was not one of them as the hail made a lot of impressions on the car including a cracked windscreen 😔

We are pretty excited to finally share the full 35 min documentary with you all, as it was finished at the end of last year. We decided to enter it into a number of Australian Film festivals like Flickerfest and the Sydney documentary film festival as we thought it is a uniquely Australian story that not many people would know about, and it was not allowed to be available to be publicly available to qualify; unfortunately, it did not get in. We also entered it into the Lift-Off Filmmaker Sessions by Lift-Off Global Network, and we were just advised it is now a finalist. So that's enough already we think it's more important to get the story out there.
Thank you to all those that helped and made an appearance, and supported the projects we have done we could not have done it without you.

The short documentary Shane created has been selected for the Lift-off global network filmmaker sessions - an online film festival. As it is part of an online film festival, there is a people's choice award based on votes from people that have purchased a ticket. They are $20, but this gives you access to 150 other short films at the festival. There are some great entries, and well worth the cost of the ticket. If you are into indie films or would like to support our Skills for Trades film, tickets are available from the link below.

Skills for trades is number 14 on the list.
It runs for 35 min and includes the making of projects like the Iron Shark, Boneshaker and the Raven's Voyage. The world's first moving pieces were created by Jon Pryer and Dean Gibson with the amazing ongoing support from Jian Yao. Plus the Gumnut Patisserie brothers Josh and Will plus Joh and Alex, with the Iron Shark project and the many others we could not have done without.
