Introducing Uncle Eddie Harris, a local Elder and amazing Artist. Very grateful to have spent time with Uncle sharing his old stories about my family. And learning more about Wilcannia. Thank You Uncle Eddie 🙏🏽

Chasing Sunrises in Wilcannia, Barkindji country. It’s like a sweet homecoming for me on my Mumma’s country. This week I’m here as a commissioned photographer for a social housing project visiting Aboriginal missions across NSW. It is led by UTS, in partnership with University of Queensland, National Archives and Powerhouse Museum. Blessed with the opportunities I have through my photography and definitely do not take it for granted.

It was such an Honor to be a part of the Coota Girls Aboriginal Corporation’s Sorry Day event for another year. Beautiful yarning with all of the Aunties and Uncles and having a giggle. Amazing performances all day. Emma Donovan giving me goosebumps listening to her powerful voice. Aunty Val had me wiping tears away when I was meant to be taking photos. The harsh reality of the Stolen Generation and the trauma experienced by the Survivors is unimaginable. Their resilience and courage to share their stories even when their voices break. Thank you Aunty Val for sharing one of your stories, it broke my heart ❤️ Uncle Kutcha performing and getting people up dancing was so Beautiful to watch. Meeting Uncle Lollipop, I had to have a yarn making connections with more Ngiyampaa mob. Thanks again for a special day and through the rain the sun came out 🙏🏽

This morning I realised June 2026 marks 10 years of my photography journey. I don’t take anything for granted, knowing tomorrow is not promised but truly Blessed to have the opportunities I’ve had so far. I’ve travelled to places like Darwin, Doomadgee, South Coast, Eromanga in remote south Qld and places in between. I met so many Beautiful Mob and worked with Amazing organisations. And exhibited my work for others to appreciate. I’ve come a long way from stepping outside the box, challenging myself and just starting somewhere. Here’s to many more years ahead doing even more Deadly things behind the camera ❤️ Thanks to all who have supported me, followed my work, backed me even when I doubted myself and continue to clap from afar 🙏🏽

Who else is Keen for the Koori Knockout 2026 being held in Raymond Terrace this year. I love taking action shots and love it more that it’s real close to home this year for us. Here’s a reel from Nowra, Tuggerah and Tamworth KKOs. Ain’t nothing better than Homegrown footy for one weekend of the year, celebrating our Culture, Our Talent with all the Mobs - youth girls and boys, Women and Men 🏉🖤💛❤️
