//Cosmic Feeling//
Always an awesome time standing still for the 20sec exposure. Staring at the stars feels like time slows down for a moment whilst getting blasted by billions of years old light.

//Caves Beach Workshop//
Last night we held our first Astrodreamers - Astrophotography Workshops workshop for the year at Caves Beach which is a place I was lucky enough to grow up in and see the stars when the night was clear. This is a snap shot of the group practising focusing at night before the Milky Way core rose and the clouds cleared for a wonderful night.
If you are interested in learning to shoot at night at amazing locations with the safety of a group please either follow the link on my website or message me directly.
Clear skies!

Finally kicked off the Milky Way core season last Saturday night. It was a very clear cool night and was able to smash out some single captures, tracked work through the telescope and a timelapse. More content to come πŸ˜‰βœŒπŸΌ

//Rosette Nebula//
Caldwell 49 or the Rosette Nebula as the name derives from its structure of a rose as viewed from Earth is about 5200ly away and a radius of 65ly.
The "hole" in the centre is due to the creation of stars in the open cluster NGC 2244 using the nebula's matter of dust and gases 🀯🌌

Swipe right to enhance! ➑️
Went out for a session last night with a 30% cloud cover chance in the hopes it would clear up to 0 and damn did I get lucky! I guess I was owed some luck for forgetting my cash out at the self checkout at Coles πŸ˜‘ My gear started to dew up from all the fog rolling in but easily removed with the lens warmer on my camera and some hand warmers secured on my telescope and guidescope.
All in all a good night snapping some nebulas and a couple last Milky Way core nightscapes. This capture is of the Horsehead Nebula and Flame Nebula found next to the bright star Alnitak part of Orions Belt constellation ✌🏼

//Core's Goodbye//
As we head to the end of the year, we say goodbye to the Milky Way core due to our position around the sun.

Sorry it has been a while since my last post, my life has been fairly busy due to weddings, family and bad weather. Worry not though as I have some new content coming and I will begin to focus more on deep sky objects over the coming summer!
