At the beginning of the month, headed out to the back of Abernethy to the abandoned colliery to have my first try at Astrophotography for 2026. The clouds didn't cooperate unfortunately.

We ended up playing with light painting and that was fun!

Just love my new 100 to 500- my first proper play with it with the perfect subject matter.

I'm already looking at going on another whale watching cruise...the hardest part is whether to go for another sunrise or go later in the morning....decisions, decisions...I do love a good sunrise...

I took some time for me and my 100-500mm lens this morning!!!! It was a bit bouncy on the water. And a bit cool. But very rewarding! I wish I could bounce out of bed like this whale did jumping out of the water!! So cool watching whales breaching.
CoastXP do a fabulous job with their sunrise whale watching photography cruise! Already planning another trip...

Hockey night in Sudbury. Sudbury Wolves wearing their St Paddy's green back in March.

Sadly, they lost the game - no howler howling a score that night. But it was still a fun Friday night out with the family.

I had some sad news at the start of March. My dad suddenly passed away - it was such a shock and I'm still processing it.

We packed our bags and made the voyage to my hometown, Sudbury, Canada for his funeral.

Upon descent into Toronto Pearson, my kids were delighted to see snow on the ground! What a treat - although this was only the start of our snow adventures!

It was a lovely trip, connecting with family and friends, all in a Winter Wonderland - although it was technically spring. My daughter had been asking for a trip to the snow, and so her wish was fulfilled.
