This session was chaotic, joyful, and so full of love 🥰

We never know how many years we have with the people we love, which is why it is so important to take the time to get photos together! No one lives forever, but photographs allow you to capture and hold onto a moment in time, to be cherished long after the ones we love are gone ❤️

Photographs are a part of the legacy we leave behind for our children. Even when memories fade, those photographs will allow them to look back and feel the love they shared echoing through time.

Book the photos, I promise you'll never regret it! You never know which photos will be the last ones you ever take.

Managed to drag my own family out for some family photos on Friday night, and even managed to get everyone to look at the camera a couple of times 😂

I'm a big believer in practicing what I preach, and I make the time at least once a year to get in the photos with my family! I've also got a christmas mini session booked with in a few weeks 😜❤️

After a crazy accident put this couples photographer and videographer out of action on their wedding day, one of the local photographers reached out on the group chat (love our little community!) saying they were desperately looking for someone to capture their day! I was at a kids party with my son at the time, but I had my camera with me, so when my awesome friend offered for me to leave Leo with them for the day, I high-tailed it to the wedding!

It was such a privilege to share in the joy of the day, and I'm so glad it all worked out! My shoulders still hurt from shooting for nearly 7 hours straight, but it was so worth it 😍

We lost my incredible Mother-in-law over the weekend, and I don't even have the words to express how much it hurts right now.

This beautiful woman welcomed me into her family with open arms, and always let me know how much she loved and appreciated me. She was one-in-a-million, and I'll always wish we had more time together.

I hadn't touched the photos in my camera roll from Christmas yet, the last Christmas we spent with her. Today I sat down and edited them, and it really made me think about how you never know when a photo you've taken of someone might just be the last one you ever take.

The photos I took of Jenny in my studio in Perth when she came to visit last year are so precious now, and I'm so glad I pestered her into letting me take them instead of just putting it off for another time.

So take the photos my friends, and hold your loved ones a little tighter. Call the people you haven't spoken to in a while, and take that trip to visit your family who live far away.

What I wouldn't give to have one last video chat with you Jen 💔

Newcastle friends, I would be ever so grateful if you could take a moment to share my work ❤️

It's been crickets over here, and I'm worried people don't know I'm back in Newcastle! Also that I rebranded from Two Cheeky Whippets Photography 😂

It's hard out here for creatives at the moment, people don't have a lot of cash to spare (I get it, I'm broke too 😂), but word of mouth means so much to a small business!
