I've been quiet on my C&S socials since I started my role as Creative Director at W2D1 Media, since I rarely take on freelance jobs these days.
But I wanted to pop on to share a career highlight from today: I gave a talk about podcasting at - a tech conference held at Newcastle City Hall. I did my best to package everything I'e learned about podcasting these last few years into just 45 mins, and I think it went really well! Got lots of great questions from attendees, and while I was pretty nervous beforehand I ended up really enjoying the experience!
Huge congrats to all the event organisers & volunteers,it was a fantastic event and I came away from it really inspired.

I had a great time capturing this video of Uncapital Productions' Pop-Up & Play trail in Maitland on the weekend. There were 8 artists, each with a unique, interactive experience that anyone could get involved in. It was great to see so many people getting involved!

It was great working with the Solar Citizens team to produce this video showcasing the launch of their new report. I even got to eat a sausage that'd been cooked on a BBQ powered by an electric ute!

Working as part of the DayOne.FM team, I've recently had the pleasure of working on Secured, a brand new podcast that looks at the human side of cybersecurity. As well as editing the episodes, I created several pieces of music for the show, including the main theme. It's been great fun working with the host Cole Cornford to help bring the show to life!

Career highlight:
Hopping up on stage alongside Adam Spencer and Will Tjo at Fishburners for the launch event of our podcast series The History of the Australian Startup Ecosystem was a huge thrill. After months and months of hard work, it was such a relief to finally have it out in the world. And to receive such positive feedback, like these kind words from startup investor and mentor Alan Jones, made it all feel worthwhile.
We conducted 100+ interviews with people from all corners of Australia's startup community (founders, investors, academics, politicians etc) and created a 6 part documentary spanning decades. All 6 eps are available right now wherever you listen to podcasts: https://lnkd.in/e77Z2hne
