Another year, another finals series.

So grateful to have been selected to cover the finals as a photographer and to have the opportunity to do what I love at the biggest stage of the season.

STRAIGHT TO SATURDAY. 🔒

The Newcastle Northstars have secured a first-round bye and a direct place in the 2026 AIHL semifinals following today’s win over the Central Coast Rhinos in Erina.

No Friday preliminary final. Their Finals campaign begins Saturday, with a place in the Goodall Cup Final on the line. 🏆

What an awesome year it’s been at home. Just like that, another season done in Newcastle, but the job isn’t finished for the Northstars.

A huge thank you to everyone who packed out the rink, supported the team and made every home game so special. What a way to finish the regular season in front of the best fans in the league.

This is what Northstars hockey is all about.

Players. Families. Fans. Volunteers. Kids who dream of pulling on the jersey one day. People who’ve been here for decades and people experiencing their first season.

One team. One community. One very full sheet of ice.
