The Tarantula nebula (30 Doradus), located in the Large Magellanic Cloud, is approximately 160,000 light-years away from Earth.

It is a super hot stellar nursery that is the largest in our known universe. It is so large that if it was as close to Earth as the Orion nebula, it would be visible during the day and bright enough to cast a shadow.

Helix nebula (NGC7293) also know as the 'Eye of God' is a planetary nebula located approximately 650 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Aquarius.

What gives the Helix nebula it's shape is the central star in the middle that which ran out of hydrogen and expelled it's outer layers causing all it's orbiting planets and comets to either be swallowed up by the expanding star or burned up.
