David Diehm Photography Capturing life in the Hunter for all to enjoy. Wall Prints / Books / Puzzles / Calendar Landscape & Wildlife photography has become a real passion of mine.

I have created this page to share my journey and progress as a photographer. The adventure and exploration in capturing the images brings just as much enjoyment for me. Taking that long hike, climb or finding a location that is well off the beaten track allows me to feel in touch with mother earth. Then going about being able to frame the location and find my way of expressing nature so others can share it its beauty is what I find rewarding.

What a stunning vantage point overlooking Newcastle Beach - made even better when you're treated to a cracker sunrise like this one.

This image is actually part of a much larger panoramic photograph of Newcastle Beach, cropped to make it easier to view on social media.

I hope the weekend has been kind to you and you've had the chance to enjoy some time outdoors

Nobbys Beach was glowing a full hour before sunrise this morning. The seagulls appeared to be holding an important conference, gathering on the sand as the first colours of dawn lit up the coastline. Moments like these are a reminder that some of the best light often arrives well before the sun clears the horizon.

You may recognise this image as one of my most popular Newcastle photography prints.

Captured from the ANZAC Memorial Walk, it features twin lightning strikes hitting Bar Beach during a dramatic coastal storm.

This A1 print is now packaged and on its way to its new home. Choosing a print-only option is a budget-friendly way to enjoy large-scale wall art, with the flexibility to select your own frame and finish.

19 years ago today, on 8 June 2007, the 76,000-tonne coal carrier Pasha Bulker ran aground on Nobbys Beach, Newcastle.

The stranded ship remained on the beach for 25 days before being successfully refloated. I had only recently moved to Newcastle at the time and had not yet discovered my passion for photography.

Were you there? I'd love to see your photo’s.

Good morning🙌🌞
Found a nice country vista for sunrise this morning in the north west of NSW. How was the sunrise at your place?

It's difficult to put into words the feeling of seeing an image you've created transformed into a large piece of wall art. This gorgeous canvas float frame stands an impressive 150cm tall x 100cm wide and now has pride of place on our client's wall.

I am always so grateful when clients take the time to send through photos of their artwork once it's installed. Seeing a print leave the screen and become a feature in someone's home is incredibly rewarding.

Have a wonderful long weekend. I'll be out exploring with my camera, chasing new scenes and hopefully a little good light along the way.
