Most people don’t know this about me…
Before I became a wedding photographer, I was a professional ballet dancer.
I trained in Russia and later performed around the world as a soloist with national ballet theatres. My life was discipline, repetition, movement and learning how to express emotion without saying a word.
Looking back, I realise photography didn’t come from nowhere.
Ballet trained my eye long before I ever picked up a camera:
how posture creates confidence
how movement creates elegance
how light shapes a silhouette
how real emotion lives between the moments
When I photograph couples, I don’t believe in stiff posing. My approach comes from choreography — guiding naturally, making small adjustments, creating flow so images feel effortless but still elevated.
I think this is also why my work naturally became more editorial. Years around classical art, theatre and fashion shaped how I see composition and storytelling.
Photography simply became my new stage.
Now instead of performances, I document real stories. Real connection. Real emotion.
From ballet to weddings — still chasing perfect light, movement and real emotion.
