After 7 years of Preschool, Kids and Family Photography it is with mixed emotions that I hang up my camera with both sadness and excitement as I give photography a break and continue my role at St Philip’s Christian College as new opportunities arise.
I want to thank you all for your support and well wishes over the past years. It has been fun, challenging, rewarding and I have been honoured to think that I have helped you capture some of your most cherished memories.
I wish I had enough time to continue my Photography, work at St Philip’s and most importantly be a Mum but when I can’t give 100% in all aspects it’s time to make some changes.
I will miss all those cute little faces and big personalities that I have seen grow from babies all the way up to big school, and will miss all of you staff that I have made beautiful friendships with. I will even miss those crazy windy, rainy days taking group photos and those kids that always gave me a challenge!
I couldn’t of done it with out my ‘Magic Lady’ Doris Glasson entertaining the kids while I would set up, chase the kid that ran away, fix up hair or wipe away some tears, so thank you Mum!
A lot of people don’t realise how hard it is engage and capture a child’s personality in a split second because they are so fast with a short attention span, but little kids are my favourite kind of Photography!
I have also watched your families grow and been a part of many special events and milestones. Thank you all for letting me capture those most precious connections you have with each other!
Please remember to stop and take photos of those special moments together. It’s not about getting the perfect photo for social media, but simply taking a photo so that when we look back at the photo we can remember and feel the emotions we had and can relive that moment over and over again.
So for now it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. I will be back!
Much love
Kristy xx
