I’m so excited to share that we will be attending Farm World - Lardner Park Equestrian Expo again at Lardner Park from 26 – 28 March 2026.

A beautiful article written by Guy McLean honouring his Bride. She was part of our Senior horse project with Nugget.

Thank you, Horse Deals, for honouring this month our very special mare, Warrenbri Romeo's Bride. She was a fantastic performance mare, and now she lives on through her superstar babies. She had a full life, and we were blessed she was a part of our family for so many years. You can rest easy, our darling girl, Bridie.

As part of the Senior Horse Project, I had the privilege of photographing the senior horses of the Victoria Police Mounted Branch back in 2023.

These incredible horses were the last of the homebred mounts, specifically bred in-house for service. At the time of their photoshoot, they were preparing to hang up their bridles and step into retirement.

Their portraits from that session are now proudly displayed on the side of the Mounted Police horse truck — a beautiful tribute to their legacy. See blog link in the comments for their unique photoshoot experience.

A once-in-a-lifetime horse. A once-in-a-lifetime moment.

I had the honour of travelling to Nugget Rest in Queensland to photograph Guy McLeans beloved senior horse, Quietway Nugget, and the beautiful mares who share his home.

This session touched my heart in ways I’ll never forget — and today, I’m so proud to share their story with you.

Including a tribute to Birdie, the golden mare whose memory now lives in the hearts of Guy & Emily forever. A heartfelt Thank You to Guy & Emily.

✨ From Dapples to Grey ✨

I knew this handsome boy in his younger years when he was a deep dapple grey — over time, those dapples have softened and faded, but his beauty and spirit shine brighter than ever.

Does anyone recognise this gorgeous boy? He’s graced my lens many times over the years, often at liberty with his lovely mum, Lucy of Burrakool Equestrian

This time, it was his turn for portraits — and wow, his personality truly came to life in front of the camera.

Now, Lucy has some beautiful portraits to treasure him always. 💕
