That’s a wrap for team P1 for this years The Great Escape Oz Car rally.

2025 saw us on the track from Newcastle to Airlie Beach 🏝️🚙⛵️

Things didn’t quite go as planned for us on Day 2 with a very unplanned trip to resus in an outback emergency dept with my first ever asthma attack. Pretty scary to say the least, but I am incredibly thankful to the team at Inverell Hospital and also our Rallyatives for their care & support 💖

Armed with my new bag of trick’s- dust masks, spacer and puffers we continued our adventure.

Day 4 saw us pick up Pete from Car 99 as the rallies trainee photographer. Sadly Car 99 had a liitle misadventure on the track & ended up needing to be towed home.

It was then on to the finish line without anymore misadventures & what an epic adventure it was!

Thanks again Mal for ensuring we had an amazing Rally & seeing parts of the country you would not otherwise see.

Now it is onto making the start on downloading & editing of this years photos.

This year Team Old Muds 🚗 tasked all those who dare, to undertake the spud challenge. So many many great🤣 moments. Thanks Muddies

The official colour of Day 1 for The Great Escape Oz Car rally is Red.

Red to show our support for those with Cystic Fibrosis.

Red is also the colour of the rose 🌹 that symbolises CF.

Here are a few moments in red, and few other adventures along the way.

Here are a few moments from the start of this years The Great Escape Oz Car rally.

We started in Albury NSW, where all the entrant vehicles undergo the scrutineer process to make sure that they complied with rally requirements.

We also had a little street parade, jam packed with lots of noise, sirens and the odd water canon to attract as much attention to our worthy cause.

The Rally's mission- is to help working with Cure4 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - and our rally goes a long way to promoting and raising not only awareness but also funds for the research into a cure.
