First annual Barra safari with the lads.

What a cracker way to kick it off. Warmed up with a mid size fish at first light then stepped it up and belted a 90cm model from up in the tight creeks.
The bling on those big chrome Barra are something else and the fact they came in at 91 and 95 added even more of a smile to my face but to see my mates tick off goals they had set and to have burls crack the coveted 100cm mark were the highlights of the fishing.

Fun day today
First comp at brown belt and first time in a new rule set.

Took home gold in gi via 2 wins 1 ref's decision after a 2 all draw from a sweep each and the 2nd i was 22 points up and managed to collect an arm bar in the final seconds.

In the no gi I had 3 losses all by submission, lessons to take home and now I have some clear goals to work on in the coming year.

Walked away feeling amazing and injury free so happy days.

1 yr today.
Look how far she has come. What a crazy journey it's been. I'm still uncertain how I feel about certain things that pop up, still triggered by simple questions to do with Indiras health or what our choices are regarding health. Every trip to the hospital for follow ups comes with mixed feelings.
A little under a year ago while in the midst of the storm, still so small still on full life support I started to write my thoughts but at the time I decided I didn't want to share, today I feel the desire to share this and hope anyone that has been through this or anything similar can find solace in this story.
