Mudgee's Getaway Cottages is a wonderful property to visit! I enjoyed a few days away in February and it was just what I needed.
Offering Specials on midweek escapes for small groups of friends or families, who enjoy exploring the countryside during the cooler months.
Winter is actually one of the most beautiful times to visit Mudgee. Crisp mornings often begin with a sparkling frost, and the heavier the frost, the more likely it is to be followed by a glorious sunny day.
Guests can enjoy cosy cottage accommodation, peaceful country walks, feeding and interacting with the farm animals, collecting fresh eggs, harvesting seasonal produce from the gardens, and simply relaxing by a warm fire with a glass of local Mudgee wine. The clear winter skies also make for spectacular stargazing in the evenings.
The July school holidays are also just around the corner, and there are still a few vacancies.... and a choice of cottages to stay in. Families love the opportunity to reconnect with nature, meet the animals, explore the gardens, and enjoy the simple pleasures of country life that children rarely experience in the city.
