Hi, I’m Matt, and InfiniteLIGHT is the home of my creative pursuits. I am quiet by nature, a witness to the world around me – and I think that’s what drew me to a career in photography. Quietly observing the world is the ideal way to capture it authentically. When I’m not busy photographing the beauty of people and nature, you’ll find me with my family. Together with my incredible wife we share th

ree beautiful children, two sons, aged 14 and 10, and a daughter who is 7. Looking through the lens, I have always been drawn to people and the natural world. I’m passionate about discovering the unique and intricate characteristics that exist in all people and all places – and freezing those moments in time. I tell stories with my camera, capturing people, places and events. Time moves so fast – little faces change, places evolve – and each one has a story that we assume we’ll always recall. Photography preserves moments and stories forever – and it’s giving this priceless gift to individuals and families that drives me as a photographer.

This is one of my favourite seascape photos, it was taken on a windy evening at Snapper Rocks with onshore winds making shooting long shutter-speed photos difficult having to deal with rain and sea spray on my filter as well as keeping the tripod steady but it was all worth it.
