I live in regional NSW.

I run a production company that works across Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

Those two things sit together very happily.

Technology means I can manage a production from almost anywhere. Fifteen years of relationships mean I have brilliant people I trust on the ground. And experience means I know how to bring all of those moving parts together without making it the client’s problem.

Regional base. Global capability.

I rather like that combination.

There is something about being in a room together that you simply cannot replicate.

The energy. The side conversations. The laughter. The unexpected comment that changes the direction of a discussion. The introduction that turns into an opportunity six months later.

It’s one of the reasons I love speaking and hosting events so much.

I get to help create those moments.

Because a great event isn’t just about what happens on stage. It’s about what happens in the room because of it.

One of my favourite things about the business I’ve built is that I can work from almost anywhere - and deliver almost anywhere too.

I might be sitting at my desk in regional NSW while coordinating a crew in Sydney, a shoot in Auckland and an edit somewhere completely different.

My client doesn’t need to worry about any of that.

They tell me what they need, where they need it and when they need it.

I make it happen.

That’s the part I love.

One of the things I love most about production is that no two weeks look remotely the same.

Monday might be a client call from my desk in Mudgee. Tuesday we’re filming in Sydney. Wednesday I’m reviewing footage from a crew interstate. Thursday an edit arrives from a project in New Zealand. Friday we’re planning the next one.

I can work from almost anywhere because we can produce almost anywhere.

Fifteen years of building the right systems, relationships and network has made that possible.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I put my name on my business for a reason. I stand by the work we create.

I stand by the crews I send out around the world.

I stand by the experience we give our clients and the people we put in front of our cameras. And I care deeply about what gets delivered at the end.

RS Productions might have grown a lot since I first picked up a camera 15+ years ago, but that part hasn’t changed.

If my name is on it, I want to be proud of it.

There are some sentences that make me ridiculously happy.

“We need to film in five locations.”

“We need the same look and feel across Australia and New Zealand.”

“We need this turned around quickly.”

“We’re not quite sure how we’re going to coordinate all of it…”

Hello. You’ve found your Video Ninja.

Complex production doesn’t have to feel complicated for the client. In fact, if I’m doing my job properly, it shouldn’t.

You give me the brief. I’ll take care of the moving pieces.

I really bloody love my clients.

The ones who send a brief and trust me to run with it. The ones who call and say, “We need to film in three cities next month… can you make that happen?” The ones who have worked with me for years and keep bringing me into the next project.

That trust is never lost on me.

Great production is about so much more than what happens behind the camera. It’s about relationships, communication and knowing someone has your back from the moment the brief lands until the final file is delivered.

That’s the kind of production partner I’ve always wanted to be.
