Yesterday I did some tests of a nozzle I designed a couple weeks ago. It allows 3 separate solenoids to feed into 3 concentric nozzle outlets. Mounted on a tripod ball mount the alignment of all 3 drops onto the SFB jet took just a few minutes. I took about 100 captures and had all drops collide every time. I used my with the delta function to vary the times of the solenoids and flash delay until I was getting separation between the drops but even the ones that "stuck" together still produced a colourful collision. I plan to put the CAD files, instructions and necessary parts list on my website for anyone that has access to a 3d printer and is interested in trying it out.
I used a screw cap on centre thread which seals off the 2 outer tubes so I could backfill the drop reservoir and the 2 outer fittings are just for backfilling the other reservoirs.
BTW I did bump up the vibrance just to highlight the drop colours.
I don't plan to use this nozzle ever again so once I get the files etc. on my web-site I will give this test nozzle away (just need to pay postage costs).
