Louise Agnew Photography

Louise Agnew Photography Digital + Film Photographer on Bunganditj country. Remote Photographer worldwide. Book via website ☮︎ I love to witness the meaningful ways family connect.

I seek to photograph the beautiful chaos of family, motherhood and real life from Millicent, Mt Gambier, to Adelaide and beyond. I love to photograph families authentically. I am inspired by the deep and honest connections felt between those we love and aim to bottle up the unique parts we adore about a person. I’m hanging out for the gappy grins, spilt milk, loungeroom dance parties, the dropped

lip, skin-to-skin cuddles, scraped knees and even there for the moment old-mate is caught out in a game of beach cricket. Throw in some retro grain and nostalgic tones and we are on our way. I’m in the business of celebrating the unfiltered, the candid, and the wonderfully domestic – because real life, with all its mundane madness, is where the good stuff is. These truths may seem insignificant today, but trust me, they're the heartbeats of your story.

From the Archives: Kate, Josh and Luke (plus their whippet Hoech)
Photographed October 2024, when the wild apple trees started to blossom… on the crispest, frostiest Spring morning.
Side note to say, six month old babies are the squishiest, happiest, smiliest little things - one of my favourite ages to document 😍

Would you believe me if I told you it rained ALL. DAMN. DAY?

After 15+ years of doing this job, one thing I’ve become weirdly good at is reading the radar like a meteorologist 😅 Helps being surrounded by farmers (IYKYK)
So after watching the weather all day, and texting Fiona 15 times, I tweaked our session time to squeeze into what I anticipated as the only little break between showers, mid arvo.
Naaaaailed it 💁🏼‍♀️
The only sprinkle while we shot was the girls getting a surprise splash from the ocean at the end! After we finished, we jumped back in the car and the rain came clapping down again 👏
These guys are such a beautiful family. Genuinely good people, thank you Zwars!

I recently had the joy of photographing Amanda Keck, an incredibly talented graphite artist in Millicent, SA.

Amanda creates work inspired by motherhood, memory, survival, softness and healing. There’s a depth to her art that is both deeply personal and universally felt by many who view her work.

She has an exhibition soon, hope to see you there! And for now, go give her a follow 🤍
