I love shooting the coast - waves, ocean, dunes, rocks...whatever. Up early to be on a beach at 4am or out at 2am in the blistering cold shooting under the stars...you name it, I love doing it. :)

A very short timelapse of the Milky Way rising above Gundagai. The lens fogged over so I only had half the images I intended for this. 🤣

Obligatory star trail shot. I haven't done one of these in a long time and it took a bit of fiddling around to get it right.

It was bloody cold so I set the camera up and went inside to have a warm cup of coffee whilst the cam did it's thing. This image is made up of 111 x 20 second exposures - so 37 minutes of time. Facing south, the camera worked it's magic and the resulting images were stacked in post processing. This is the earths 37 minute rotation in a single frame. 😝

The bride and I spent an evening at Kimo Estate last night.

Located near Gundagai NSW, Kimo Estate offers some incredible "glamping", with three purpose built eco huts available around the estate for an awesome couples escape. These are very secluded, away from everything and everyone, with amazing views over the valley.

I was really looking forward to our stay and being June, it was cold. 🥶 As an added bonus, there was no cloud which meant the stars were out to play. Boy did they impress!!! ⭐️

This was our hut, "JR's Hut", which I am told is the original hut that started it all. Perched atop a hill with 360 degree views, the outlook was amazing! The Milky Way added a nice backdrop.

After an awesome get away? www.kimoestate.com

Waiting for the sun to disappear and the Milky Way to rotate around behind our accommodation. It’s already there, just not dark enough to see yet. 😉

Pics up in a few days ✨ ⭐️

This mornings rays captured from the southern end of MM Beach, Port Kembla. Was high tide when I arrived and I couldn't get around the headland but luckily the tide had dropped enough just before sunrise so I could get around.

Shot on my two legged tripod (which was challenging!) as I lost part of it somewhere along the beach. Replacement has been ordered but if you find part of a tripod leg down there, it's mine! 🤣

When you go out on a shoot and realise once you’re on location that you’re missing a tripod leg! 😟😩

Some know it as Stack Island, others as Rangoon Island.
I have always referred to it as Rangoon, as that’s how it was introduced to me manny, many years ago by a well known local photographer. I’m not sure why it’s Stack or Rangoon, maybe it’s a local thing?

I sat watching this scene for a while, mesmerised by the patterns formed by the rolling waves.

I’ve been here so many times before but never at really low tide. Usually this area is all under water and much of my time previously is spent traversing the higher rocks trying not to get wet, or avoiding it all together as it’s just too dangerous.

It was good to be here and capture this.
