Just a reminder for anyone who still wanted to buy or download photos, my Zenfolio website is shutting down on April 29. Thanks again to everyone who has purchased photos from the site in the past.

Just a heads up for people, I'm going to be closing my Zenfolio website on April 29th of this year.

In late 2023 Zenfolio adding an "archiving" system to their websites, which would automatically archive photo galleries older than 18 months. When a gallery got archived, it was taken offline, and left a big blank spot on the website where it used to be. To get access to those photos, either myself or the viewer had to request from Zenfolio that the archive be restored, which usually took about a day. So not only were photos unavailable for people to look at, download, purchase etc, but it completely destroyed the look of the website as well. If you've visited the site in the last year or so, you've probably noticed.

Zenfolio also raised the price of the website hosting to pour salt in the wound. Long story short, I was paying more money for a worse service. Zenfolio lost a ton of customers over this, including me, and refuse to change things in response to customer feedback. So when my current subscription runs out, the website will close and all of the photos will be deleted from Zenfolio. If there were photos you had considered downloading before, but never did, now would be a good time to do so. I'll try and make another post closer to the day to remind people.

I currently don't have any plans to open a new website on another service. Zenfolio was mainly good for getting sports photos to people, and I'm not shooting as much sports now as I was a few years back.

Just a heads up to anyone who might want to buy some older sports photos, the website I use, Zenfolio, is going to automatically archive all of the galleries from before August 2020, starting on August 14. What that means is that those older galleries will only be available by request, and requests can take up to 48 hours to process.

I figure most people who have wanted photos will have already bought them, but in case you were thinking of doing so, now might be a good time before it becomes more of an inconvenience.

This also applies to anyone who might have photos from other shoots or events from 2020 and before. If you've lost your copies or didn't download what you wanted yet, again now would be a good time to do so.
