There are big changes afoot! So excited! 🤩

As of Friday I'm officially unemployed and yesterday tied the knot with the love of my life in fabulous style with a vegas theme - such absolute fun!! 🥰

But now the real adventure awaits.. we are officially pursuing our love of travel and food and becoming digital nomads travelling the globe.

Given our new direction I have made the decision to retire ShelbyRight Photography while we work on creating something brand new together ❤️

As much as I have absolutely loved capturing beautiful portraits (and amazing moments in time to reflect on) for all of my clients, I found that my love of landscape and travel photography was feeding and nourishing my soul more and more and it's now time to move things along.

Huge thanks to all of my clients past and present and everyone who's been following our journey this far.. we are really looking forward to sharing more amazing adventures with you all in the weeks to come!!!

CANDIDS//DAVEY FAMILY

I've been photographing this amazing family for eight and a half years now and throughout that time have built a connection and amazing friendship with all of them.. so much so that I get invited home after the shoot to enjoy a cuppa and a chat, meet and play with the family pets and get to capture all the candid moments that you otherwise may not get to when shooting a standard session in one location. Seeing these kids grow up and develop their individual characters, and being able to capture so many moments of their lives for their mum to look back on, is an absolute privilege and I genuinely love when we get together for these sessions. From the beginning I've never forced these kids to pose, instead letting them have fun, joking with them and letting them do their own thing.. in doing this they interact with me so much more and I get to capture glimpses of the rockstars they truly are 🥰🤩

Has anyone visited the Silo Art in Northam yet? We had driven past it previously and not stopped, but made an effort to visit at sunset last weekend while staying in Northam. It really is something else!! It's made me very keen to get out and find more of these on the Silo Art Trail within WA. This time last week I was still on such a high after taking to the skies with Windward Balloon Adventures for my 40th birthday. To say the experience was incredible is an understatement, but is the closest I can come to describing the feeling up there. It was so peaceful and quiet and was so amazing being able to take it all in as we glided slowly with the breeze over Northam and surrounds. There were so many awesome photos I captured that it was hard to narrow down which ones to share, but I think these will give you all an idea of how incredible it was. The joy of moving so gradually and slowly in the balloon meant I was able to capture so much detail in the shots of Northam and maintain a lot of sharpness. Sharing on here will obviously lose some detail but we've had so much pleasure in being able to zoom in on buildings and read their signs clearly and identify the various places we visited whilst staying in Northam, including the Reflections Cafe which we were taken to at the end of our balloon adventure for a Champagne Breakfast. I highly recommend Windward Balloon adventures to anyone, they were absolute pros and made it such a fantastic experience from start to end!
