Moonrise at Uluru. Saw it peaking out from being the rock as we did our base walk, so of course I had to find a way to get it in a composition 🙂 🌕

A guided tour around the base of Uluru, hearing dreamtime stories and seeing the colours change as the sun rises is quite a special way to start the day 😃

Bit of a hiatus from me, as I've been keeping busy but there will be a few photos incoming in the next couple of weeks as I catch up from some recent trips! This one was a bucket list / dream item for me. Went to recently and I was told I was going in one of the clearest months of the year, so of course took all my camera gear + telescope to do some serious astrophotography. Wouldn't you know it, but the days I had booked access to the park for a private tour ended up being 100% cloud and rain forecast. Thankfully Uluru Astro Tours were able to be super accommodating and let me join a mandarin speaking tour bus to get in the park, and then I was allowed to go do my own thing and come back on a different bus! 🙏 🙏
This image required a little bit of work - I had 2 cameras going, one for the foreground and the second taking a verticle panorama as the milkyway was so high in the sky (although the position was decent right as we got there!). Little bit of stitching to bring it together 😍🌌 an absolutely amazing night, the sky was so clear and dark. I've seen a lot of milkyways in my time, but never anything this clear with as many visible stars. Truly spectacular, especially standing in front of Uluru. 10/10 would recommend!

BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS

Misty mornings over the weekend resulted in some spectacular views of rolling fog around the hills between Glenn Forbes and Wonthaggi at sunrise. The light was just perfect here, and it was quite serene watching the fog creeping along.

Sunrise 🌅 I haven't tried this spot for non Astro photo shoots before, and I'll definitely be back for more! A beautiful and serene spot 👌

One of those classic Sydney views at night. A quick walk across the bridge to this spot is always worthwhile! Unfortunately large panoramic photos are always so hard to display on social media, but I'll upload this to my site soon for better viewing. Link in my bio 🙂 swipe 👉

Always love visiting Sydney, and capturing the opera house and bridge never gets old. I'd hoped to nab the full moon but unfortunately the day we got there we had nothing but cloud and so I had to settle for the almost full moon rising over the Opera house a couple of days later. Used an exposure blend to get the moon details to come out with my Tamrom zoom lens.
