Went up a hill to photograph the latest full moon-set over Hanging Rock on a frosty morning but it fizzled out behind some cloud so I stayed for the sun rise. Noice eh??

This photo I took 5 years ago of Hanging Rock, and my original title was "Rock and Roll". Right now, in the lead up to THE concert, perhaps a better title might be.... wait for it...... wait for it........... Roll 'n' Stone.... (ouch)

A great gig....... I've had a rather nice job over the past week or so, which will continue for another ten days or so. . I've been asked to document the complete bump-in to bump-out of the biggest concert EVER to be held at next Saturday, 8th November The Rolling Stones. It started four years ago with Leonard Cohen, then Rod Stewart, then The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, and now the biggest of the lot. It's a seriously large event, as you can see one week out after the stage was raised yesterday. The first photos are from last year's Bruce Springsteen concert, and the rest are over the last week of the East Paddock at The Rock being prepared. I'll do an aerial shot again this year, weather permitting, about 6.30 pm from ABW, a Cessna 172 from Kyneton Aero Club.Sunset is just after 8pm More to follow in the next week.

Saw this bloke at Hanging Rock yesterday- he came bounding down the path and stopped and sat there for a couple of minutes. Last weekend the annual Koala count found three in the HR reserve, which means possibly six. Quite an encouraging number. Guido, the head Ranger says he's a healthy young male, and you can see his scent gland on his chest. Haven't been that close to a wild Koala for a while. Note those CLAWS!!!

Last week I drove down to Wye River, along a recently closed part of the Great Ocean Road. I used Herbie the quadcopter to take this photo of VicRoads replacing the first of many culverts. If you tried to take the scenic route to Apollo Bay recently, this is why you couldn't get through!
