Sometimes life throws the most incredible surprises at you. Last Saturday we met my in laws in Bendigo for a quick lunch before exploring the area. Well a quick lunch turned into one of the best meals I've ever eaten and no exploring got done. My mother in law had booked us a table at Masons of Bendigo, and boy were we in for a treat. Even with my horrible list of requirement (GF, no seafood, no mushrooms) we decided on the roaming menu, where the kitchen surprises you with their favourite dishes.
While my seafood, mushroom loving gluten filled family tucked into their meals, my lovingly prepare super delicious meals were delivered by our wonderful charming waiter Jesse. I was so full by the end I thought I'd never be hungry again and all for a tiny $62.50 per person.
It's so wonderful to be in a place where such care is taken in every aspect, the Fit out, the staff, the plating and even the timing. Thank you so much Masons team, we'll be back very soon!! (Excuse the terrible pic, I don't like taking photos at the table, I like eating too much!)

Does anyone have a mysterious pouch of secret women's business in their hand bag just for emergencies? I do, and I switch it from bag to bag. It has all things you need in it, safety pins, bandaids painkillers and antihistamines. Makeup, fun lady time products, gum etc... but most importantly it always has some kind of GF snack just is case I'm somewhere in the wilds that feels the need to coat everything in bread crumbs and flour. It helps defeat the Hangry monster I become when hungry. This is def one of my faves.

Here is a sneaky throw back to Mother's Day... I know it's taken a while!!
A big shout out to the day was amazing... and the gluten free house made bread and pizza were a delight... super easy to organise, beautiful location and a scrumptious wines.. throw in wonderful family and what more could you want?

Yesterday was my beautiful little nieces 1st birthday. My sister in-law asked for a grazing platter or two, I may have miscalculated the delicious treats I would need and created a grazing table instead! So much cheese, so much yum. So many people eating GF and not knowing it - hahaha!!

A little throwback to the time I got to eat a fried dim sim for the first time in 15+ years. And it was RAD!!! I gave up trying to make my own about 10 years ago, much to the delight of my boyfriend, now husband.
