What a wonderful day and fun way to start the year! We visited the 5 new metro tunnel stations - Anzac, Town Hall, State Library, Parkville and Arden, to explore and witness the long awaited industrial architectural design of the newly built metro tunnel system in Melbourne. Identifying the unique elements in each station, as well as the continuity of the design language across them all. It was lots of fun, and great way to stay out of the scorching heat by being underground!

As per my annual tradition, went out to Albert Park Lake to watch the first sunrise of 2026! 🌅No hot air balloons were in sight this time, however was accompanied by a very large herd of black swans and flock of eurasian coots! Happy New Year everyone! Wishing all a fruitful 2026 overflowing with blessings! ❤️

A truly fantastic day in the middle of Winter! We had a scavenger photo hunt! 30 random words, spun in random order, and with only 3 minutes to find and shoot. The time limit definitely added a lot of pressure to not only identify what to shoot, but decide what level of ‘quality of shot’ to compromise in the process. Some words definitely lent itself easier - whether it was interpreted literally or figuratively. See caption of each photo for the word that it represented and description behind the shot ❤️

What a wonderful day out for a stroll in the Fitzroy Gardens where Cook’s Cotrage resides. Autumn colours were popping and the air was certainly fresh! Today’s challenge was to capture in 1:1 aspect ratio (square) which forced our creativity into a different perspective! It was lots of fun! ❤️

What a beautiful today was - weather was just perfect for a stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens. For our 4th photography walk of 2025, a slight twist/challenge was made - that was to capture images from ground level - at a low vantage point. It certainly brought us out of a comfort zones and forced us to think outside of the box! While the weather is still nice (despite daylight savings being over) I suggest take advantage of the last several nice days of warm weather before the Autumn/Winter chill kicks in! 📸❤️

Another fantastic market, this time in North Melbourne, we took advantage of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival this month and explored the Finders Keepers Food Market for our 3rd photography walk of 2025. A lovely morning out to explore and support local businesses and taste their very delicious produce! If you don’t have much to do this week, I definitely recommend go and visit, enjoy the sampling and support the businesses! 📸❤️

We ventured to Heide Market in Bulleen for our 2nd photography walk for 2025 ! A lovely morning out to explore and support local businesses, their handmade produce, arts and crafts. There were heaps of adorable pet dogs to meet and pat, and lots of great yummy food to sample! 📸❤️

We kicked off 2025 with a hot start, visiting St Kilda’s new pier and watching the sunset! A great evening out, and a lot more people than we had anticipated being out, but then again a hot Saturday Night at the beach - we aren’t too surprised! Fantastic night out with great company! 📸❤️
