I'm shocked and saddened by Steve Scalone's passing. He generously reviewed my work and listened to my doubts, then gently contradicted me, guiding me to one of my most important award wins.

From the hundreds of tributes I've read this morning it's clear that he had the effect on everybody. What a tremendous loss to our photography community.

RIP Steve.

I went to see Murray Frederick's exhibition at the Museum of Australian Photography yesterday. I remember being quite moved when I watched the documentary, "Salt" about his incredible multi-year commitment to creating this monumental body of work. Seeing the images in real life for the first time was just as moving. It also motivated me to revisit some photos I made in 2016.

This is a composite of 100 images of 50 seconds duration each.

This is not a scratch on Frederick's work so if you like this, you MUST come to see the exhibition at MAPh in Wheelers Hill.
