Some photo sessions are about capturing memories, while others are about bringing a vision to life.
This beautiful mum had already done so many different family photo shoots with her boys over the years. She’d done the classic white backdrop and white outfits, she’d done denim, and she’d explored lots of different styles. This time, she had her heart set on something different—an autumn session filled with rich colours and golden leaves.
The challenge wasn’t just finding the perfect location. We needed a park with plenty of autumn trees, and we also had to time it perfectly to make sure the leaves had actually started changing colour before the shoot. After keeping a close eye on the season, we found the most beautiful spot in Malvern, and it couldn’t have worked out better.
I’m so grateful we managed to capture these photos while the trees were still bursting with colour. The warm neutral tones chosen for their outfits complemented the scenery perfectly, and the final gallery was simply stunning.
One of my favourite parts of being a photographer is collaborating with families to create something that feels unique to them. Whether it’s choosing a location, styling outfits, or planning the overall look and feel, I love helping clients turn their ideas into beautiful memories.
We also timed it perfectly before Melbourne’s colder, wetter weather arrived, making for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon with the family.
The result? Gorgeous autumn colours, plenty of laughs with the boys, and a collection of photographs that truly captured this season of their lives. 🍂🤎
