Halfway through 2026 feels like a good time for a gentle reminder…

If family photos have been sitting on your “I really need to do that” list, consider this my formal application to be your photographer.

For over 15 years, I’ve been creating timeless family and newborn portraits for Melbourne families who want more than just beautiful images.

They want an experience that feels easy.

They want someone who knows how to work with toddlers, tired parents, and unpredictable babies.

They want photographs that still feel just as meaningful years from now.

My sessions are relaxed, thoughtfully guided, and designed to capture the connection that already exists within your family.

No forced smiles. No complicated posing. Just honest moments and beautiful photographs you’ll treasure long after the kids have grown.

If we’re the right fit, my inbox is open.

It hit me out of nowhere tonight.

I was sitting here scrolling through photos of Lachie and thinking, time is a thief.

Not because I wish away the stage we're in now. Quite the opposite.

I've loved every single minute so far. And if someone offered me the chance to go back and do it all again from the very beginning, I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

The newborn snuggles. The contact naps. The first smiles. The crawling. The wobbly first steps. Even the sleepless nights.

I honestly wouldn't change a thing.

And then I got thinking - that's the magic of photos, isn't it?

They don't stop time, and they can't keep our babies little.

But they can definitely take us back there whenever we need.

They let us hear the giggles again, feel the weight of a sleepy baby in our arms, remember the tiny details we'd somehow forgotten, and step back into moments that felt ordinary at the time but somehow now feel like everything.

As a photographer, I see that magic every day.

As a mum, I understand it in a completely different way now.

Because sometimes all it takes is one photo to transport you straight back to a version of your life you thought was slipping away.

And for a minute, time gives a little bit of that moment back.

It’s why I’ll never take lightly what I do - because these are the moments you end up coming back to, again and again.

MAY 🤗

Some days I was delivering galleries. Some days I was chasing a newly walking toddler. Some days I was vacuuming up sensory play leftovers for the fifth time that day. Some days I was coordinating tradies and wondering if my house would ever be quiet again. 😅

All in all, a pretty good May 🤍 Here’s to an even bigger and better June!

Welcome to winter in Melbourne… Where the sunsets are dreamy but your toes go numb by 6pm 😂

The upside? The skies are SO pretty right now. Soft pastel tones, golden light, families naturally cuddling in closer… add in all the cosy layered outfits and it’s honestly such a beautiful combination for photos.

But winter outdoor sessions are definitely for the brave ones 😅 Because while the photos are stunning… it’s also cold, sunsets disappear quicker, and outdoor sessions are a little more weather dependent - which means availability is pretty limited. (I actually only have a handful of outdoor spots left over the next little while.)

BUT if you haven’t booked an outdoor sesh this winter because Melbourne weather likes to keep us all guessing… I get it 😂 and honestly, my studio is pretty hard to beat too 🤍

No wind. No stressing over the forecast. Just warm, calm, cosy vibes, beautiful natural light, and a space that feels easy the second you walk in.

Honestly, winter is beautiful for photos either way.

Whether you’re picturing pastel sunset skies outdoors or a slower cosy morning in the studio, you really can’t lose.

So if you’ve been meaning to organise family photos before the year disappears on you… this is your sign ✨

Your photos were never meant to live on a screen.

Not buried in camera rolls.
Not lost on old phones.
Not forgotten in “favourites.”

They deserve a place in your home.
And in your children’s memories.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a family photo session but haven’t quite done it yet, this is your reminder that it’s not just about having photos taken. It’s about what you want those photos to become.

Something real in your home.
Something your kids grow up seeing every day.
Something that doesn’t get lost in your phone.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d love to photograph your family.

You can reach out via my website or send me a message for more details 🤍

How lucky am I that I get to take a random Tuesday off, drive 4 hours round trip, and just be with my family for the day.

No big occasion.
Just a 16 month old who’s currently obsessed with birds.
And a drive across town to the bird sanctuary because of it.

And I know not everyone can do that whenever they want - sometimes I can’t either - but becoming a parent has really reinforced for me just how quickly life moves.

And I feel like we all spend so much of our lives waiting for a less busy week, more money, cleaner houses, more sleep, less stress…

Meanwhile the kids keep growing anyway.

And I keep thinking… no one really looks back and wishes they waited longer.

Not for the photos.
Not for the day trips.
Not for the cuddles.
Not for the memories.

It all moves so quickly, even when it feels ordinary in the moment.

And you don’t need a special reason to make the memories.

So if this is the little nudge you needed to book the session, take the photos, or plan the thing…

I’d love to photograph your family just as you are right now.

My calendar is open from June - December, and I only take on a limited number of sessions each month so I can give every family the time and care they deserve.

If you’ve been thinking about it, now is a really good time to secure your spot:

I used to look at sensory play stuff and think “that looks like a lot of effort for 3 minutes of entertainment” 😅

Anyway… I’ve fully eaten my words because I’ve fallen down the sensory play rabbit hole and I LOVE it.

Right now our biggest hit is dry rice dyed with food colouring. Simple, cheap, (fun to make for me), but absolutely chaotic.

Lachie mostly just splashes it around with his hands and then tries to pick every single grain back up again 😂

And somehow there is now rice in rooms of the house the rice activity never even entered???

Homemade playdough has also been a win - surprisingly entertaining for both mum and dad too 😅

I think what’s actually surprised me most is how simple it all is. No fancy toys, no big setup. Just random things in containers and he’s genuinely entertained for ages.

Anyway… if you’ve got any easy sensory play ideas, send them my way.

Preferably ones that don’t involve me vacuuming coloured rice out of every nook and cranny for the rest of my life 🫣

It might seem a little odd to think about at first…
but if you want those curly, sleepy newborn photos, you really should be booking before your baby arrives.

Because once baby is here, you’re not sitting around thinking about logistics and planning photo sessions. You’re sleep deprived, feeding constantly, healing, and genuinely just trying to figure out what day it is.

The idea of “organising photos” in those early weeks? It just doesn’t happen the way you think it will (or at all).

And I know it can feel a little backwards booking something before you’ve even met your baby yet. But it’s a bit like trying to book your wedding photographer the week before the wedding and hoping they still have space.

I only take a limited number of due dates each month so I can stay flexible for babies arriving early, late, or right on time. Which means my calendar does fill ahead.

Booking now doesn’t lock you into a rigid plan - it simply means your space is held, and once baby arrives we sort everything out together in a way that actually works for you.

It’s one less thing on your mental load during a time when everything already feels full 🤍

If you’re expecting and you’d love me to photograph your newborn, get in touch to reserve your due date.

Running a business is hard. Running a household is hard. Doing both at the same time while trying to be “consistent on socials” is not for the faint-hearted. So I haven’t been posting as often as I’d probably like to, and I have so many beautiful sessions to share.

Like this beautiful return family. An absolute honour to capture again 🫶🏻

Imposter syndrome has gotten the better of me over the last few weeks - seeing everyone else with their act together while I’m just wondering if I’ve replied to all my emails or only done so ‘in my head’ 😅

Self-doubt can be honestly crippling sometimes. It’s not just one little thought in the background - it’s overthinking, second guessing, feeling like you’re somehow behind or not doing enough, no matter how full your days actually are. And then somehow you still have to show up and do the work anyway.

But the funny thing about imposter syndrome is that it rarely shows up because you’re doing badly. Usually it shows up because you care deeply about what you do, and you’ve put a lot of yourself into it.

And even on the weeks where I feel a little all over the place, I still get to create galleries like this - and deliver memories families absolutely adore, and receive feedback that genuinely makes me teary-eyed.

Then I think to myself, “oh… maybe I’m actually doing okay after all.”

If you’re a busy mum with seventeen tabs open and “book photos” still sitting on the to-do list - I get it, I really do.

This is exactly why my aim is to make the whole thing easy. From booking your session, right through to getting these gorgeous moments on your walls and into your everyday life.

Let’s make something meaningful. Send me a message and I’ll take it from there.
