Down down down to beautiful Nyang Nyang beach in Uluwatu. I felt so sorry for the ones who had parked at the top! If anyone wants a ‘Komodo dragon’ grab driver that’s so super passionate about Uluwatu and showing you all of his favourite spots, places to eat, and making it the most fun you could even have for less than 50 bucks, DM me for Feddies WhatsApp number.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who donated to help me get my work over from New Zealand. This year has been one of challenges and transition for me and I wouldn’t have been able to do this without your help ❤️ today is the last day to donate so if you are feeling inclined it would be very helpful and appreciated. I look forward to sharing a new exhibition and hopefully book edition with you early next year!

Beautiful for thinking about how this project can expand this year and where it could go now that I have healed from the trauma of producing it. I have always felt that the project was like being given some of the most precious gemstones to hold and protect, and I will always be grateful to incredible people like Matisse who trusted me enough to hold their story. The project changed so many people’s lives and I feel that it still can. I just feel like I need a bit of help this time, to share the emotional load. If anyone is keen to help me rekindle the project and celebrate the incredible complexity of human trauma, feel free to get in contact ❤️🌈

One of my favourite shots from of Phoebe Lou and her mum sharing a moment in the backyard. This is really making me miss the lush green of home. So happy to be putting my feet on New Zealand soil next weekend 💚

A few years ago a good friend of mine and I experimented with a portrait project. We had several sessions over a period of about a year. This one was a favourite for both of us. Driving through the stunning, thick native forest in Otaika valley and wanting to take advantage of the warm soft afternoon light, but knew we only had about 10 minutes before I needed to pick my son up from school. It was a mad dash with a lacy bedspread and a Tangata Whenua book in hand. You would never know it by the calm serenity in this shot. Another element I love about this image is the way her pose with the book reminds me of the masked characters she has often painted throughout her celebrated art career.

How lucky am I to love and be loved so deeply. My dear friend wrote this a while ago on a photo I took of her performing burlesque and drag while heavily pregnant. And it is true. I do love her deeply and I will forever appreciate the love she gives me. I have photographed Charlie many times and I always find it’s the moments in between moments where I find those images where their genuine spirit shines through. The moments I see “my” Charlie, the poetic, genius human being who will have a piece of my heart forever. This was taken during a shoot with the most beautiful baby I have ever laid eyes on, precious Luna bean 🌙

After two long years of lockdown, the people of Melbourne are joyously celebrating connection with one another again. A not so gentle reminder of what comes with connection is the dramatically named “super flu” which has also been joyously shared. Two years of lockdown meant not a single sniffle, so this one is hitting where it hurts.
