Something a little different for this post. This was taken at Dog Rocks near Batesford on a windy winters day. This place has an unearthly feel about it in the best possible sense. I urge anyone to pay the site a visit whether you have a camera or not. I'll post a few more images in the comments. :)

Last week we attended a Guinness World Records event in a little town called Emerald outside of Melbourne. We were one of the many locations attempting to break the record for the most people star-gazing in a country at one time. We are yet to hear the official result - but suggestions are that the record was broken! Happy to be a part of it! Here's a shot of some of the star gazers.

Not a bad spot.

This lake in Westgate Park in Melbourne turns pink every Summer. The bright pink colour is caused by a harmless bacteria in the water. It is well worth a visit if you're ever nearby in Summer.

This morning we went aurora hunting. I say morning, it was actually the middle of the night. We departed at 5am and headed south towards Mornington Peninsula in the hope of capturing the ethereal glow of yesterday's geomagnetic storms you may have seen mentioned on the news... NEWSFLASH: We struck out! The only green glow we saw was emanating from the BP petrol station on the M3. We ended up on Arthur's Seat surveying the peninsula from up on high - here's the view we had. No aurora - but still totally worth it!

So it's been a while between posts as I've been too busy doing things and taking pictures to actually get any processing done and get some images uploaded.
Thankfully last week we had the opportunity to take an international client into the city at short notice to show him round before he headed for home in India.
We headed to Southbank to get some proper tourist pics for him to share with his family - he loved it!
While we strolled along I was lucky enough to snap this shot across the river showing the splendour of Melbourne.
A pleasant reminder that the tourist spots are always worth a visit.
