who has worked with all sorts of people and businesses. What I love most about photography is simply capturing something real and making it beautiful. Some fun shots in the studio with John at Part Two.

We had a great day and combined two shoots in one day. We did an earlier post of Part One with his family.

And here are a few words from him about his experience . . .

“I’ve known of Wendy’s professional photography services for many years.

My family and I are Yarraville locals, and I run an independent mortgage broking business as well.

I needed someone to accommodate our updated family pics + new website/business images, and Wendy delivered them with just one click. (haha)

She had brilliant colour + location + prop suggestions; something a layperson like I am wouldn’t have thought of.

6.30am at Jawbones Williamstown to midday in our home, on a cold April morning - that’s commitment for you.

Swapped the camera for a board and took a few days off for a surf retreat.

Here are a few gems of me out in the water, captured by the hilarious and seriously talented .campeau 📷✨

It wasn’t all smooth sailing though — a snapped leg rope and a fin to the leg that ended with an ER visit and a bit of glue 😬 But even shaken, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. When you’re surrounded by a great group of supportive women, it’s hard not to keep paddling.

Why include the family in a business shoot?
Because while John is the face of the business, his family is a genuine part of the brand — they’re behind the scenes, by his side, and woven into the values that shape everything he does.

John’s not your average finance broker. He’s helping families and business owners find smarter, fairer ways to move forward. He’s also the founder of .of.sky where he shares the stories of Inner Westies with heart and curiosity. If you’re from the Inner West, you’ve probably come across him — or had one of those unexpectedly great chats that stays with you.

It’s actually how we first connected — John interviewed me about my life and work for one of his stories. So it was a pleasure to turn the focus on him for this shoot.
