Lost in the fog

There’s something about fog that slows everything down. It softens the world, blurs the edges, and turns an ordinary street into something cinematic. You don’t rush through moments like this, you walk through them. Every step feels quieter, every detail a little more intentional.

About last night 🌌

ShutterTime alerted me, which feels a bit surreal to say, considering I built it 😅 What started as a side project to help plan shoots using weather, light, tides and astro conditions ended up nudging me out the door at exactly the right moment. Purple curtains, zero stress, long exposures rolling. Turns out trusting your own tool actually pays off.

2025 in frames 🌅

A small recap of the year with early alarms, late edits, missed shots, lucky moments, and everything in between. These are a few frames that stuck with me, from calm mornings to absolute chaos in the sky. Somewhere in all of this, I also started quietly building something to make planning shoots a little less guessy, inspired by the same frustrations we all share. Massive thank you to this community for the inspiration, conversations, feedback, and support throughout the year. Here’s to more chasing light, fewer missed alarms, and better conditions in 2026 ✨

Ricketts Point at Sunset 🌅

This spot had me wandering around like a confused crab, trying to decide whether the sky or the textures under my feet were the main event. Low tide turned the whole place into a giant photography playground… and yes, I absolutely nearly slipped three times. Worth it for this glow though.

Not Aurora 😅

When the sky decides to cosplay as the Southern Lights but Melbourne’s like, “Relax mate, it’s just a spicy sunset.”
Still… not complaining. This city really knows how to put on a show even when it’s not trying to steal Iceland’s brand.

Hidden

Somewhere deep in the forest, this tiny waterfall is out here doing its best impression of a full-sized one. 10/10 for effort yet still more peaceful than my inbox.

Milky Way Candyfloss

When the cosmos decided to throw a rave and forgot to turn the saturation down. This was one of those nights where the stars looked like they were dipped in fairy floss and then sprinkled across the sky. The coastline didn’t mind, it just stood there like, “Yeah, this happens sometimes.”

Also, can confirm: no UFOs, just some overexcited light pollution trying to photobomb.

Mentone Flowlines

What’s left of the old Mentone jetty still knows how to steal the spotlight, guiding the waves like a seasoned conductor, carving perfect arcs into the sand with every retreat. It’s all peace and beauty… until a rogue wave reminds you that waterproof boots were not just a suggestion.

Echoes of Autumn, Here in Spring

Snapped this in the heart of autumn, when the forest was glowing, quiet, and full of that golden melancholy. Now it’s spring, the world’s buzzing again, and yet this image still sits with me. A reminder that some moments stick around, even when the seasons move on. The leaves have gone, but the feeling? Still here.

Also, pretty sure I still have one of these leaves stuck in my car. It’s been six months. It refuses to move on too.

The Glow

Tried to catch a peaceful astro seascape… but the universe had other plans. That dreamy glow on the horizon? Not the sunrise. Not lens flare. It’s a boat. A very committed, very shiny boat that refused to move. So now it’s part of the story, sailing straight into the Milky Way like it owns the place.

Whispers at Dawn

A lone tree rises like a dream through the morning mist, cradled by silence and reflected in perfect stillness. The sun, still unsure of its entrance, tiptoes behind the branches, casting soft hues of lavender and gold. This is nature’s quiet inhale before the day exhales.
