Pulpit Rock 🪨 this stunning geological feature is a huge basalt column formed from one of two huge volcano's that shaped the Mornington peninsula coastline. It sits on a massive basalt platform know as the devils desk and the pair combined is an amazing sight. These are over a few different days and times and it's incredible how the light changes the whole mood. The massive cliff surrounding blocks the sun after midday and it's quiet gloomy but I'm loving some of these long exposure pics looking all misty 🌫

This is the critically endangered Swift Parrot 🦜💚 its estimated that there are only around 950 of them left in the wild! These beautiful birds are cryptically endangered due to deforestation from logging in Tasmania 🥺 and the government is about to allow more logging of irreplaceable eucalyptus forest and part of this is the swift parrot breeding grounds. The only place in the world they breed! I was lucky and feel extremely privileged to see them in the Plenty Gorge due to them migrating here during winter.
