One of the most common questions I get asked is "When is the best time for newborn photos?" The thing is there is something special about every stage! Fresh newborns are so small and sleepy and it's beautiful to remember those tiny details. By 5 to 6 weeks old they are starting to smile, making eye contact and interacting more. By 12 weeks old their little personalities are starting to shine through. So it's really up to YOU and what it is that YOU want to remember about the newborn stage.

Recently I've found that many of my newborn clients have been booking in at around 5 weeks old and I have to say I think it may be my new favourite age! Not only do you still get those beautiful sleepy newborn photos (like my second image here) but the bubs are also starting to have their first smiles and are starting to interact with their families. It's so beautiful to capture this ❤ So please don't fret if you have missed booking in at the traditional 1-2 weeks old, there is so much to cherish at every age.
