This spot in central Victoria is a favourite for misty mornings. The problem can be that there is too much fog and nothing can be seen from the lookout.

Had the privilege of shooting these athletic and highly skilled people working at their art. Photographically this is a challenge, as everything is moving and in light that varies as the fuel depletes. Really looking forward to improving with practice and planning.

Over the last four years, I have been to White Night in Melbourne, Australia. This is an exciting festival, well-supported by locals. At the last two outings, I have left the tripod at home and shot hand-held. This increases the technical challenge but means I can be more nimble on the night.

Last weekend Robyn and I enjoyed a day in the Yarra Valley. We were on a guided excursion that included a dawn balloon flight and visits to see some deer, a blacksmith, a redwood forest and of course lunch and wine. Thanks to Croydon and Ringwood Camera Houses for organising, and to Sony who provided gear and advice and subsidised part of the cost of our participation.
