💛 Haenu & Mira 💛
A little post to appreciate a new friend we made last year! Haenu is an incredible artist who creates breathtaking fine art portraits as well as beautifully unique tattoos. What a talent! (See for yourself!! )
I had to have Haenu’s art involved in our wedding somehow, so I floated the idea of little portraits of our guests drawn in his signature oil pastel for them to take home… I’d never seen this done at a wedding before, but Haenu was so open to it.
We planned the logistics over a few months: I found mini canvases with magnetic backs so our guests could put the artwork on their fridge. I had custom design and 3D print gold frames with hand-picked filigree designs and bronze brushed highlights. We picked a colour scheme for the pieces and Haenu enlisted an assistant who’d be in charge of fixing spray and finishing touches.
Our guests watched their portraits being made, cocktails in hand, with a completely unique gift to take home at the end of the wedding. Haenu became one of the most memorable parts of our day that our guests still mention to us!
