I worked for the Age Newspaper for 15 years as a senior photographer ….in my day we covered the news as it was happening.
I for one am totally disgusted ‘the Age’ thought it NOT IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST TO COVER the enormous protest, from farmers and firefighters who travelled from all over Victoria voicing their opinion re the levy (TAX) the Allen Government thinks a good thing. Since when do newspapers take obvious direction from Spring Street? Who the hell is the censor?

We were away very briefly -a couple of days at Lorne last week. Had time to travel the wonderful Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay and enjoy the totally unpredictable weather! Victoria, don't you love it? People keep talking about climate change and global warming(I wish) brings back Tim Flannery's prediction re "the end is nigh" we will never see these dams full again. In effect we are actually experiencing an "ice age" !! That's right an Ice Age, but don't take my word for it -Google the question. Felt the first cold down western Vic.
It's cyclic and it's beautiful in autumn before once again we move into hibernation phase.....Queensland and Tahiti look nice!
I grabbed a few snaps along the drive, have a look.

On a recent trip to Merimbula, I was relaxing on the beach, Lee went for a walk....I watched the bird life close by ( not those on towels) the one's that fly. I had my Nikon and a 200mm lens with me and captured a little activity as a Pied Cormorant took off and a passing seagull....not too much effort on my behalf, back to dozing.

"MADE IN AUSTRALIA"....on a cold and quiet day I have helped Lee today to frame a series of "Australiana" cute gatherings of our loveable animals each measuring 30cmx30cm the incredible detail Lee put into these original illustrations -still 20years on is testament to her wonderful talent....I'll sat that because Lee will not, Now we ponder -where to from here?
Excuse my iPhone snaps ....they deserve so much more.

Looking through some images I had on a removable drive, I came upon this one under some images with effects ie. blur or semi surrealistic....I always liked it-but this poor 'Jonathan Livingstone' has never seen the light of day!😎
