A recent trip to the Tulip Festival gave me an excuse to unleash my favorite vintage lens, the Soviet made Helios 44-M (thank you again Sara!). I absolutely love the short depth of field it produces when it's wide open. These shots have barely been touched-just a little exposure and color correction. Probably the closest I've ever come to posting photos direct from the camera. All in all, a good day out :)

Finally made a flying visit last weekend to the Nunawading & District MX Club in Vermont South. This place is AMAZING fun! Managed to take a few preliminary shots in the hour or so I had there, and I'm looking forward to a return next weekend for a longer session. If any of you photography types would like to come along, let me know!

So. My apologies to Seedy Jeezus and Isaiah Mitchell (and hey, nice meeting you man!). My camera and I made it to The Tote last Friday night for a much anticipated gig, and a sudden change of circumstances meant I had to leave almost as soon as I got there :(
