DAY 2: Lakes Entrance to Merimbula (270km - 3 hours)

After an ocean-view breakfast at our cozy Airbnb, we took a relaxing morning stroll along Lakes Entrance Beach.

Just as we hit the road to Merimbula, we stumbled upon a hidden treasure – the Stony Creek Trestle Bridge, a 247-meter wooden bridge from 1916! This spot was both a blast from the past and a perfect place to fly our drone for stunning aerial shots.

Next, we ventured to Snowy River Estuary Walk in Marlo. This scenic, 5km trail gave us breathtaking views of the estuary, plus some wildlife sightings – including a few friendly echidnas!
Continuing along the coast, we uncovered another gem: Cape Conran – Salmon Rocks. Climbing, exploring, and snacking while watching the waves hit the rocks? Pure bliss.

Finally, we made it to Mallacoota, just in time for a delicious dinner and a sunset stroll along Mallacoota Wharf, where we were welcomed by the sight of graceful pelicans. 🐦

We wrapped up the day with a drive to Merimbula. Arriving late and pretty wiped out, we decided to rest up and recharge for an early start the next day – ready for another exciting adventure ahead!

The coastal drive from Melbourne to Sydney (in our case, Jervis Bay) is often regarded as one of Australia's most scenic road trips. Along the way, you'll pass through breathtaking coastal landscapes, picturesque towns, and remarkable natural attractions.

🚗 DAY 1: Melbourne to Lakes Entrance 🌊

Our adventure from Melbourne to Jervis Bay kicked off with a gem of a spot — Lakes Entrance! Just 4 hours from Melbourne, this spot is a must-stop, and we were blown away by its beauty. 💙

We pulled over at the Lakes Entrance Lookout, where the breathtaking views had us in awe. 📸 A perfect photo-op moment! Then, we enjoyed a cozy picnic at Jemmys Point Lookout, launching our drone to capture the magic from above.

🌊 Next, we took a leisurely stroll along Lake Tyers Beach — the spot where the wild ocean meets the calm lake. It was an unreal experience!

To wrap up the day, we arrived at our charming Airbnb, The Goat and Goose B&B. Not only was it super comfy, but the serene surroundings and stunning ocean views made it the perfect end to an adventurous day! 🌅Highly recommended!

We have just arrived back from a beautiful trip around Grampians 🏕 and what can we say.
We feel absolutely relaxed and motivated to keep exploring and learning about other cultures while reflecting on our own histories.

Grampians National Park is part of Gariwerd Aboriginal cultural landscape and it provides the visitors with majestic waterfalls and breathtaking mountain panoramas.

During these days, while exploring this unique national park, we crossed paths with kangaroos, wallabies, emus and even turtles! We also heard the songs of different native birds and observed some rare insects in their natural habitat.

And if that wasn't enough, we were able to visit some unique places with Aboriginal rock art paintings! 😍

Let us introduce you this little mate.

It wakes us up every norming with its beautiful songs 🎵 and throw pebbles on the neighbours when angry.

It enjoyed swinging on the bird feeder and destroyed it in less than 5 minutes.
