The best part about the parade, is definitely seeing the support from different schools and young people. Seeing the kids celebrating and cheering for gender equality gives me a little bit of assurance that the future would be in good hands and that there is definitely some progress as a society.

See Rainbows ! I love how the pride march can be also be a a way that we can send a message to the world. Knowing that we have the support from the government, private companies and non profit organisations is so empowering as a community. I know that we still have a long way to go. But seeing where we are right now as a society, it seems that we have come a long way.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also had an opportunity to see the Victorian Premiere in person. I admit that this statement might have some divided opinions. Regardless, Australia is still lucky to have political leaders join and support the pride march. But stoked to see Tito (Uncle) Dan in the flesh !

Last Sunday, I attended my first pride ever. It's the definitely a special one for me. As someone coming from a country with a conservative take on gender and equality, I have never felt more accepted because of who I am. For this week and in celebration of pride, I will be posting photos from the midsumma pride march. Happy Pride everyone!
