Calavera Creations Photography

Calavera Creations Photography A perfect image, a moment that never fades, a story without words. Digital art and photography. I have always been drawn to photos.

The emotions of the people in the image, the background, the story, it all drew me in. I would want to know what they were feeling, thinking or saying. I wondered about where they were going, what their voices sounded like & if they were happy. The older the photo, the better. As I got older and was able to use my dad’s old camera, I started taking photos myself, sometimes it even had film in it :

In high school, I focused on Photography as a core subject. It was a love and hate relationship, mostly hate. I loved looking for the moment I wanted to capture, then story I wanted to tell. What I struggled with was being told what Image to take, developing the negatives and printing the photos in the darkroom. I was terrible with settings, remembering what F-Stop was needed or that I ended up using & all the processes needed afterwards. I just wanted to capture the story! I didn’t pursue photography at University but I absolutely continued to take photos everywhere I went. Now, in my late 30’s, I have been diagnosed with ADHD. It makes sense to me why I was so drawn to the emotions, story and connections with the photos themselves, yet repelled by the boring after process. Thanks to my teenage daughter introducing me to digital download art, I realized (finally) that I could turn my love for photography into a small business, no processing, no printing or logistics, just sharing my images, my story! page for Crystal Jewellery:
