Tiny hands, two little teeth, sleepy cuddles, picnic blankets and the kind of happiness you wish you could bottle forever.

This season of life is messy, beautiful, exhausting and magic all at once. One day these photos will be looked back on by a grown little girl, but for now, they’re a snapshot of the love that surrounds her right now.

The way she looks at her mum.
The way dad holds her close.
The little smiles in between.

Just happiness, exactly as it is. ✨

There was something a little wild about this session.

The wind tangling itself in Rahni’s hair, the hills stretched endlessly into the distance and the old tree stood quietly between them like it had witnessed a thousand love stories before theirs.

Maybe it was because I’d watched Wuthering Heights earlier that day, but I couldn’t help seeing traces of that windswept romance woven through these moments. Not in the drama, but in the feeling. Two people finding their way back to each other, completely at home in the other’s presence.

What made this session even more special for me is that I met Rahni over 10 years ago when we danced together in our childhood. Life took us in different directions and we lost touch, so when her wedding enquiry appeared in my inbox all these years later, I was absolutely over the moon.

Now I get the privilege of documenting this chapter of her story with Jesse.

These sessions are one of my favourite parts of the wedding experience. They give us a chance to slow down, get to know each other before the big day and create photographs that feel natural, relaxed and true to who you are.

I already know next year’s wedding is going to be something special and I can’t wait to document the next chapter of Rahni & Jesse’s story 🤍
