How it feels to live in New Zealand^
Limited edits - Just real colour and real life.

Photos taken all around the two islands over my 4 months living in Dunedin / playing basketball in the Tauihi League last year. Big shout out to Dunedin- a lot of features in this collection. 🌳✊

Shapes in Sydney

Images are a mix of film & digital.
Can you tell which is which!! I hope my series of camera comparisons have prepared you for this. (I definitely know Cedric will be able to. Maybe Tia.)

Some special underwater footage of the great Australian Humpback Whale Migration. JUST WOW… being in the ocean with the whales jumping in the air & swimming towards us then having them dive underneath was a surreal experience to say at the least.

Starting soon, around 40,000 humpback whales will swim from Antarctica up the east coast of Australia to the breeding grounds of the Great Barrier Reef, Hervey Bay, Whitsundays and Fraser Island. (Warmer up here for breeding, and away from predators like the Orca)

Then they head back south around August/Sept. Back in Antarctica by December with the babyyyyy whales☺️🩷 That’s a round trip of 10,000km.

Fun conservatory fact I learnt:
• In the 1960s there were only a few hundred whales. Now there is around 40,000☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ Apparently this is one of the greatest marine conservative recoveries. Thank you International Whaling Commission commercial whaling ban.

📷 📍 Footage taken off the coast of Tweed Heads / Cooloongatta, NSW, Australia. Glad I went to the shops the day before to buy this digital underwater camera😆 Was honestly just winging it and hoped I knew how to use it when I jumped in the water. (.cameras)

It’s that cold outside, that photos from my hotel window is all we are getting at this rate.

My team is currently in Harbin, known to be the coldest city in China. One of the coldest in the world too. It very north and east! (Slide 5 for the visual learners).

We are here for the WCBA Cup. Big basketball tournament- 5 games in 5 days. I need permission to leave hotel room as they don’t want us to get sick. I want to go to the Siberian Tiger Park so badly - I love Siberian tigers. And also the famous winter wonderland ice sculpture park. Maybe after our last game🤞

It is currently -23°C (-9°F), but apparently today is going to get warmer, with a top of -11°C (12°F) 🥰🥳!!!!!

Found myself in the middle of a traditional Uyghur dance party this Monday afternoon, in Ürümqi, Xinjiang- China🇨🇳

Took some photos before getting kindly dragged into the middle to dance with everyone. The people here are extremely sweet!

Photography note: Being discrete for street photography doesn’t really work here in the depths of China lol. However- it’s great for smiling at strangers, making friends and learning how to dance.

PSA‼️‼️I couldn’t find traditional music to add to this IG post, so Bad Bunny is the next best bet✨✨✨✨🩷🔥🥰🇵🇷🏆🏆🏆

(Mornings like this I’m glad I keep my digital camera in the bottom of my basketball bag. ❤️❤️❤️☺️☺️☺️)

Cool Colours of Hong Kong (Part 1 of 2)

I very quickly learnt that Hong Kong is any street photographers dream. The contrasting nature of the city is one of a kind. From the skyscrapers to the old traditional style buildings. From the high end shopping & malls to the street markets hustle & bustle.

I hope in the future to spend more time here.

Most foreign basketball players who play in the WCBA/CBA (Chinese basketball league) will fly into HK and stay here for a few days while waiting for their visa to be approved to then go to Mainland China.

You’ll be seeing a lot of photos from my 3.5 day layover over the next coming weeks… and months…❤️✌️
